Special Projects Coordinator

Job Function

The Special Projects Coordinator will assist the CCUS BU of OGCI CI in the execution of CI’s business plan and in support of the broader CI organization. The role will be responsible for various projects running simultaneously ranging from investment evaluation assistance, investment and portfolio coordination, investment event leadership, and technical, business, and industry analysis.

Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Contribute to investment evaluations through analysis of technical and commercial viability
  • Coordinate or lead delivery of CI external events such as CCUS Investment Day, including close coordination with the communications team and event management company, facilitator selection and prepping, developing invitee and speaker lists, preparing appropriate briefing materials and support on the day
  • Develop and maintain the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database
  • Manage CCUS team shared data structure (possibly synced folders or SharePoint)
  • Coordinate multiple projects concurrently with minimum supervision
  • Proactively oversee projects from initiation and planning through to execution, including preparation of project plans and business cases as necessary
  • Liaise directly with multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop and analyze data / spreadsheets
  • Perform literature searches and table top research
  • Other responsibilities as opportunities arise on a day-to-day basis

    • Reports directly to CCUS Support Manager or CCUS Projects Director
    • Interaction with the other CCUS team members and leadership, CI Leadership Team, and all functions across the CI organization


(Liaison requirements with other companies; consultants; agencies; professional associations; peer groups etc).

  • Suppliers of services, such as software, event planning, office leasing, etc.
  • OGCI member company representatives


Education and Professional Qualifications Required
  • Degree preferred in an area relevant to CI’s areas of business, such as engineering or finance
  • Previous experience in energy, manufacturing, industrial, electrical, steel, cement, transportation, or finance
  • Adaptability, good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft packages and general PC literacy
  • A hands-on approach, ability to figure things out and a “can-do” attitude are required

Additional Information

  • Eligibility to work in the USA is mandatory
  • Diverse locations of OGCI may require out of hours meetings from time to time
  • Occasional travel – primarily within the USA, and occasionally Europe.
